Just purchased a RSP1A from Ham Radio Outlet. I have been using it for a couple weeks. Is anyone seeing a sporadic RF gain reading in the main panel during a received signal?
All of the videos I watch the RF gain reading stays steady at the level the slider is set to.
Im suspecting something isn’t right. I might open a support case with SDRplay but thought I would check here first. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I am presuming this is because you have AGC enabled and a strong signal near to the listening frequency this can cause the scenario you describe, from the main main panel select Sett. top left of the window and then the second tab IF AGC deselect and set as required and then retest
Thanks Rick. That seems to work. Can you explain why the RF Gain value in the Main panel changes if the IF AGC is enabled but does not with the IF AGC disabled?
