RSPDx Soapy Recommended Gain

Hi Folks

I’m using SoapySDR with RTL_Airband but am struggling to find an appropriate gain setting. What is clearly confusing me is the ability to either set gain with either:

gain =
or
gain = “IFGR= ,RFGR=”

Even more of a struggle is that the lower the value? the higher the gain?

With the use of RTL_Airband and a high quality VHF airband antenna some 5 meters above the house, can anyone suggest appropriate settings that may have worked for them well?

higher the number the higher the gain.
cubicsdr uses soapysdr if you find gain settings that work for you there you can use them in rtl_airband.
