I have an RSP1a that I use SDRPlay and SDR-Console with to scan frequencies. Right in the middle of the waterfall is a strong “signal” which I am assuming is an artifact from the RSP1a. It occurs with or without an antenna. I had it since purchase but being new didn’t know this was not normal. I have tried under SDR-Console to calibrate to see if it is an offset bias without success. I’ve also turned down gain with no effect. There seems to be other artifacts that show up across all bands but I’m not sure if they are normal or not. The one in the center is clearly an artifact since I can change frequency and it stays right in the middle of the stream.
Is the RSP1a defective or am I missing something I can do to eliminate the artifact?
Any help would be appreciated.
