Because wideband SDR receivers have to operate over such a wide frequency range and use delicate front end circuitry, they can be damaged by exposure to high levels of RF energy. This can become a problem when your RSP is connected to one antenna, while an active transmitter is connected to a second antenna nearby. But what does this mean in practice? How can we tell if we are at risk of causing damage?
