antenna connection

      Good morning everyone a bit of a newbie question but can I connect my sdrplay to the same connection as my transceiver at the same time ? or will the rf when transmitting kill it

        Hi Stuart.
        There are VERY strong warnings about keeping your RSP antenna a good distance from ANY transmitting device, as there is minimal filtering or overload protection in the front end of your receiver. The only way to do what you are suggesting is to have an Interupt Relay in your coax line that will disconnect the antenna while transmitting! For the best protection, I suggest grounding the input to the RSP while transmitting, if at all possible.

          Thanks Wayne, yes I’ve had some time to look at it a bit more it looks like an rf switch might be the way to go but i cant find any at the moment?
