      What are the advantages and disadvantages to setting the Local Oscillator to a different frequency than the listening frequency? In other words running with some offset between the listening frequency and the LO? Many thanks for any comments!

        If you are in ZIF mode, try listening to a weak AM signal with the LO and signal frequency the same. You’ll hear fluttering and distortion.
